Discussions with our own Doctors over the years has confirmed that the Mexican equivelent of the drugs is not truly equivelant to the Estados Unidos version. We have been told their tolerence rate of potency is 25%, while our is less than 1%. States medications are always better... if you can afford them.
There are thousands of "Farmacias" in Mexico, as it is a major tourist industry. Their prices are competitive, meaning shop around! Many can provide you with a Doctors appointment for $20 that will get you a prescription for anything that you request. Yes. Its as seedy as it sounds.
Be open with customs, and do not hide things. They are much nicer about "prescription" medication, than the concept of you trafficking something by hiding it.
